How can CPRS help my community?
Georgia Tech’s hallmark is providing innovative economic development assistance. Typically we customize our offerings to meet your community’s specific needs because each community has different challenges and opportunities. In addition, CPRS has developed several tools and services to help communities advance their economic development efforts, including LOCI, Accelerator, WebFIT and TechSmart.


Does CPRS serve all Georgia communities?
Yes. We have vast experience in serving metropolitan, suburban and rural communities. We treat each community as the unique place it is. In addition to drawing on our experience in Georgia communities, we regularly employ best-practice models from around the world.


Does CPRS conduct industry studies?
CPRS has a long history of helping communities and companies to understand issues related to industry. We have developed a wealth of expertise in manufacturing modernization issues through publishing the biannual Georgia Manufacturing Survey . We also have performed many industry-specific studies.


Does CPRS provide economic development training and courses?
Yes. CPRS provides ongoing training of economic development professionals, elected officials, government managers, and others seeking a foundation in economic development theory and practice. In fact, Georgia Tech has developed an international reputation for the quality and relevance of its courses. In addition to the courses offered at Georgia Tech, we routinely customize training for individual needs, which can be delivered on-site at your location.

Is there a charge for CPRS services?
There is no charge to discuss your community’s opportunities with us. Based on your needs, we will develop a plan of work, which may include a fee to help cover expenses. Most communities find our fees affordable, and we often help them to identify funding resources.
