Joy Wilkins, CEcD, manages community innovation services group in the Enterprise Innovation Institute and oversees development and delivery of economic development services to communities throughout Georgia. She has led teams to advise communities statewide on matters relating to sustainable and innovative economic development and to assist local leaders in their implementation efforts. She also manages the development of new programs, tools, and services to assist in the economic development process.
Before coming to Georgia Tech, she conducted research for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and developed publications and reports for prospects concerning the region’s economy and supportive infrastructure for economic development.
She is a frequent instructor and speaker for conferences and workshops, and author of several published articles. A Certified Economic Developer, she holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and political science from the State University of New York and a master’s degree in city planning from Georgia Tech.
