Health at EI²

Georgia Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (GA-HITREC) and Georgia Tech

As a sub-recipient of the regional extension center in Georgia, Georgia Tech’s health@ei2 is committed to helping healthcare providers attain Meaningful Use in their electronic health record implementations.  GA-HITREC is funded for providers that are in family practice, general practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, and OB-GYN, that also serve Medicare and/or Medicaid patients.  GA-HITREC will guide the providers in their efforts to implement an EHR while meeting the requirements of Meaningful Use to help the provider qualify for tens of thousands of dollars in incentive payments and avoid penalties as specified by CMS (http://www.cms.gov/EHRIncentivePrograms/).   Given that your practice qualifies for assistance, your practice will receive a provider assessment and an onsite workflow assessment that will show you areas where you need to improve to meet the requirements of Meaningful Use.  All you need to do is sign up and these assessments will be done at no cost to your practice.  Additional services (again at no cost to you) will be provided as your practice makes the decision to apply for the incentive money and follow the roadmap to Meaningful Use.

However, the incentive money will not last forever and it is important that providers get started quickly to qualify for the maximum amount of money.  If you are a healthcare provider and you want to sign up for this valuable service, please contact Rudy Snyder by calling 404-385-2496 or by emailing ude.hcetagnull@redynsr.
