ATLANTA — In June of 2025, Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2) celebrated the largest class of faculty promotions in its history. Fourteen faculty members demonstrated that they have the applied research skills, publishing chops, and innovative ideas to be promoted to the next level. The promotions take effect July 1, 2025.
“We are proud and excited to honor these hardworking individuals who are helping people across the state, the Southeast, the nation, and the world to improve their lives and livelihoods,” said David Bridges, vice president of EI2, which serves as Georgia Tech’s economic development arm.
Promoted faculty represent the Advanced Technology Development Center; Center for Economic Development Research; Enterprise Innovation Institute; the Georgia Manufacturing Partnership; and Safety, Health, and Environmental Services.
“The promotion class this year is one of the strongest in recent EI2 history,” said Jenny Houlroyd, chair of the promotions committee and the occupational health group manager in the Safety, Health, and Environmental Services program. “I am proud to have served on the promotion committee and proud to recognize these innovative, hardworking colleagues.”
