VentureLab is open to all Georgia Tech faculty, research staff, and students who want to form startup companies based upon their research. As Georgia Tech’s comprehensive center for technology commercialization, VentureLab transforms your innovations into companies by:

  • Developing engaging business models.
  • Connecting you with experienced entrepreneurs.
  • Locating sources of early-stage financing.
  • Preparing new companies for global markets.

VentureLab also manages Innovation Corps (I-Corps), the National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded program that helps scientific and engineering discoveries move from universities into the marketplace.

The VentureLab Difference

Founded 11 years ago, VentureLab was created to curate and translate Georgia Tech research into startups. VentureLab is top five amongst universities that create startups from campus-based research and inventions. As a complement to the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), VentureLab companies are given tools, training, and other valuable resources to help them succeed. Since its inception, VentureLab has created more than 150 companies, which have raised almost $700M in risk capital.

VentureLab is part of the Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2) at Georgia Tech, which helps enterprises improve their competitiveness to significantly impact the economy.
