When disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, or droughts strike, rural communities face more than immediate damage — they face long-term economic disruption. Farmers lose harvests, manufacturers face broken supply chains, and businesses struggle to recover. Without coordinated systems for response and renewal, each event deepens economic and social challenges.

ReGen Ag is an EDA Disaster Resilience Supplemental Funding proposal concept that unites universities, local governments, nonprofits, and private-sector partners to strengthen South Georgia’s capacity to recover faster and rebuild stronger. By combining technology and communities, we’re creating a framework for resilient growth — one that supports local economies, empowers residents, and offers a model other regions can follow.
